CATCH POWERHOUSE MEL B. DANCING FOR ARTISTS AND COMPANIES SUCH AS:

Entertainer, dancer, and choreographer Melia Barnes, known in the industry as "Mel B”, began her training in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the prestigious Larkin Dance Studio at age 9. Throughout the next 8 years, she traveled across the country dancing, and then choreographing, at numerous conventions and competitions.  After receiving countless awards and top overall scores, Melia was recognized by celebrity choreographers who mentored her through her transition to a professional career. After graduating six months early from the St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists, Mel B. embarked on her journey to Los Angeles.  After relocating to the epicenter of commercial dance, Melia had the opportunity to train under the close direction of such major choreographers as Wade Robson, Tony Testa, Brian Friedman, Travis Wall, Rhapsody James, and Tabitha & Napoleon D’Umo. Within her first year of auditioning, she booked her first job dancing for television personality Wayne Brady in his headlining show at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.  From there, she continued her success dancing for companies and artists such as Cirque Du Soleil, America's Got Talent, Reebok, Redken, Hewlitt-Packard, Macy's, Keyshia Cole, Criss Angel, Capezio, Macy Gray, and ultimately touring internationally with superstar Kanye West.  In addition, Mel has choreographed national commercials for Suave Haircare and Oscar Meyer, episodes for TLC Network’s “Totally T-Boz”, as well as a pilot for a new series starring Wayne Brady.  Mel has enjoyed choreographing multiple half time shows for college & professional sports teams, including Georgia Tech. Mel recently took the stage with rap legend Ludacris in Atlanta at the Bud Light MusicFirst Tour.
Mel B's abilities and unparalleled experience as not only a
dancer, but a choreographer and teacher, give her style in choreography and classes a fearless and innovative edge that make her a faculty favorite among dance studio and dance competitions through-out the country.  Melia has also enjoyed judging and working for national competitions such as StarQuest National Talent, Applause National Talent Competition, and Hall of Fame Dance Challenge. Mel has had the opportunity to act as the Director of Showbiz National Talent Competition for the last three seasons, and has recently accepted the position as National Director of On Stage America. Her training and love for all aspects of art give her an advantage and unique edge to providing a break-through experience to any student taking her classes or attending the competitions she directs & hosts, assisting them on their journey of growth and improvement. Her choreography is exciting as well as challenging, and she continues to share it through her award-winning numbers created for some of the top dance studios in the U.S. and abroad. She is extremely passionate about sharing her excitement for the art of dance and it shows, as she takes students to the next level of their craft and performance. Mel B is also sharing her positive message through her music,
and is recording her mixtape “DREAMSTATE” with her hip hop group WE ARE LUCID in Atlanta. Melia released her first music video last summer, “Be Yourself”, available now on YouTube.
